Speed test

The speed test requires JavaScript: only your browser knows when the bytes actually arrived. It is the only tool on the site in that case.

The test runs against this server, on a Free connection in Paris that is not sized for the purpose. It therefore measures the path to here, not the maximum speed of your line: a result below your subscription does not mean your line is at fault. Latency is the median of seven round trips, not their average — a single slow one would skew the average.
